Twelve Activities To Improve Education – Part I
All of us who are blessed with comfortable lifestyle are under obligation to think hard about how we can contribute to improve the lives of less privileged. Consider one or more of the following options to contribute with your time, money, skills and experience to give a bright and rewarding future to the needy and aspiring students of our community.
If we all indulge in one or more of these activities it can have huge impact on education level of our community. All such efforts will not only bring improvements in the society we live but this will also be a sawabe jariya, as long as our contributions continue to benefit others. We have short listed twelve such actions, but for now three are discussed here and we will bring remaining later.
- Contribute monthly to organization of your choice.
Pick up an organization that is working to improve education in our community, whether they work for local population or they are working for the countries back home and in your opinion they have good impact on improving education in our community. Help them with monthly contribution of any amount that you are comfortable with.
- Locate and nurture talent.
All human are born with some innate natural skills and talents but few of them are gifted in some particular faculty. It is not difficult for us to locate such gifted children around us. If we provide them encouraging atmosphere and some extra help they will move up fast and have extra ordinary success at young age.
- Scholarship guidance.
There are plenty of scholarships available all around for bright students. Not all the students and parents are aware of these scholarships. Students need to know about these scholarships at least two three years in advance in order to be prepared and qualified for it. We have plenty of brilliant students who can qualify for such scholarships if we inform them in advance and prepare them. Select any one or more of such scholarships in your area and prepare students around you for it.
All three items listed above look ordinary but if all of us act together in or more items, we can create a huge impact and spread the benefit to many students across the globe. Real need is that, we all do our part, pick up one or more of above items and get involved. You can do this on your own or create a small group and work together.
