(JIT) Jahangirabad Institue of Technology – (IMRC)

Jahangirabad Educational Trust Group of Institutions (JETGI) is an initiative of Jahangirabad Educational Trust (JET), which started in 2001. JETGI is popularly known as Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT). JIT is housed in a former fort, a 19th century rare architectural splendor, with more than 200,000 square feet of facilities majestically  set in the back drop of 36 (within compound) luscious and picturesque acres.

JIT’s vision is to develop an educational institute of higher learning in Science, Technology, Management along with training in leadership skills. In 2009 JIT (under JETGI) has been granted approval by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) for the Bachelor of Technology and MBA program. The management course are offered under Jahangirabad Institute of Management (JIM) and the Engineering courses under JIT. Also under the banner of JET is the Jehangirabad Media Institute (JMI) which was established in 2005. Many graduates of JMI are now well placed in media organizations such as ESPN, CNN-IBN, Hindustan Times to name a few. In 2010 JETGI was granted Minority Status which guaranteed 50% of the enrollment is reserved for Muslims.

In addition JIT wabts to build a Girls dormitory to encourage Muslim girls to enroll and graduate from JIT. JIT believes “Do not allow our Indian Muslim girls fall further behind in education, give them the key to a better life.”

JIT is one of  the 100 institutes run by IMRC (Indian Muslim Relief and Charities) which is a Palo Alto, CA based non profit  501 (C) 3, organization.
